The Warrior gave BDC a battle, but Diesel managed to advance by beating the referee's count. The match had actually degenerated into a brawl in the crowd. After the match, the Warrior tossed a chair into the match and promised he'd have another shot at Diesel.
Sycho Sid pinned Tom Brandi with the Power Bomb in 0:20:27.(-*1/2)
Sycho Sid manhandled Brandi in this match. Brandi got in some offense here and there, but this was all Sid.
Shawn Stasiak pinned Irwin R. Schyster with the Perfect-Plex in 0:21:22.(**1/2)
Shawn Stasiak pulled a Perfect-Plex out of nowhere to move on to the second round.

Derek Boyer pinned Mike Awesome after a small package in 0:05:32.(-**)
Boyer upset the "Awesome" one by reversing a small package. Boyer was able to use his weight to hold the pinning combination, and secure a victory in his wrestling debut.
Hakushi pinned La Parka with the Flying Headbutt in 0:14:40.(***1/2)
The two put on one hell of a match, which ended in Hakushi sealing the win with his Flying Headbutt.

The Patriot pinned Taka Michinoku after a diving shoulderblock in 0:02:06.(-**1/2)
The Patriot pummeled Taka in just over two minutes, bulldozing Michinoku with a heavy shoulder for the win.
Davey Boy Smith defeated Kaz Hayashi by countout in 0:06:20. (-*)
The Bulldog made quick work of Kaz, and threw him over the top to advance via a count-out win.
Rick Martel and Mr. Hughes beat Doom when Martel made B. Reed submit to
a sleeperhold in 0:15:57.(*1/4)
Martel and Hughes scored a major upset over Doom by beating them tonight. "Upset" was the key word - Simmons and Reed battered Hughes and Martel with chairs after the match.
Interview: New Age Outlaws
The Outlaws had joined the commentators, seeing who they would face next week - Doom or Model and Hughes. After the match, they watched Martel and Hughes retreat, and had this to say:
Road Dogg: "Well, you know what? At NWA's D.T.A. Pay Per View, we took out the trash! We beat that overweight sushi roll from ring post to ring post! The Outlaws WILL be the next tag team champions, and we're gonna beat every fat slob that comes our way. Now don't get worried, Slaughter, we're not talkin' about you. No, we're talkin' about all the 'competition' that the CCW has to offer."
Billy Gunn: "Next week we face two guys who just got clobbered with chairs. We're practically wearing those tag team belts right now! Nobody, not even fat Sarge himself, can beat us!"
Road Dogg: "And if you ain't down with that... "
Billy Gunn: "SUCK IT!!!"
Totally Buff beat Too Much when Luger defeated Taylor via pinfall in 0:22:50.(**)
Christopher and Taylor actually had the upper hand most of the match. The two double-teamed Buff for a very long time, and it looked like they were headed for victory. However, Buff was able to make the tag, and Lex cleaned house en route to victory and an advancement towards the CCW Tag Titles.
[Table Match]
The Dudley Boyz beat The Quebecers when Bubba Ray powerbombed J. Rougeau through a table
in 0:23:38.(***)
The Dudleys gained an early advantage, and nearly put Pierre through two stacked tables. Johnny Polo's interference saved them, and the two teams fought back and forth in an entertaining match. Bubba Ray ended the match by powerbombing Jacques through the table.
